Here’s what I know about the holiday season: it’s easy to eat whatever looks good and then deal with the consequences later.

I’ve been here many times over.

But when you’re trying to stay away from gluten and dairy, your food options are a lot more limited than others.

You have to be more mindful of what you eat at the holiday table.

You have to think ahead when you’re out for a day of shopping and you pop in to a restaurant or cafe for a snack.

I’ve been through 5 holiday seasons now on a gluten-free dairy-free diet – and have learned a plenty of things along the way. I’ve had my slip-ups, my throw-the-towel-in and give-up seasons, BUT I’ve also had the best holidays ever, because I honored my body and felt my best.
